July 4th always evokes powerful and patriotic stirrings of gratitude in all who are fortunate to live in these United States of America.
Our country and its patriots sacrificed so much to gain our independence so that we may all live as free men in the greatest society on earth.
At Park Crescent HealthCare and Rehabilitation, we are excited for each and every one of you, as you experience joy and happiness and gratitude on this day which leads into the lazy days of summer.
As dusk falls and you begin to celebrate in your own way among family and friends, we ask that you not forget the significance of these days.
In the immortal words of John Adams who so eloquently wrote his wife, Abigail, on July 3, 1776:
“I am apt to believe that it [July 4] will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”
